Below are descriptions of all our curling league offerings here at Westmount.

Junior Practice & Play
Ages 8-12. Weekly lesson plus practice and game play. Focus on skill development and the spirit of the game.
Mondays, 3:45-5:15pm, starting October 20, 2025.
Junior High Performance
Ages 12+. For junior curlers competing or wanting to compete in youth events or multi-sport athletes wanting to learn to play.
Focus on skill development, drills and preparing to compete.
Monday Open
4-person. Team entry. Any combination of men/women. Teams are placed in divisions during or after the first session based on skill level. 6-end games at 6:15 pm / 8:00 pm.

4-person. Team entry. The Club Champions will be eligible to represent Westmount at the Club Championship Provincial Qualifier (and beyond!) next curling season.

About Doubles Curling:
Only six rocks per team are used each end, with one rock of each team pre-positioned either in the rings or outside the rings as a guard. The positioning of each stone depends on which team has the last rock of the end. If a team blanks an end they lose hammer instead of retaining hammer in the next end.You can find the full rules here:

Wednesday Open Warm-up
4-person. Team entry. This league is available to members wanting to start off the season fine tuning their skills and warming up for regular league play. This league provides couples and individuals a chance to play with different members and it opens the curling ice doors for new members wanting to meet curlers and join teams.
The Curling Office will put together the teams and schedule the games.
Draw time: 6:15 pm (& 8:00 pm if required). All games are 6 ends.

Wednesday Open
4-person. Team entry. Any combination of men/women. Teams are placed in divisions during or after the first session based on skill level. 6-end games at 6:15 pm / 8:00 pm.

Note: This league changes to the Mixed Club Championship League
under a separate sign-up
for the Playoff period Mar 4-Apr 11.

Mixed Club Championship (Wednesday)
4-person. Team entry. Team roster must include 2 men and 2 women, throwing in alternate order.
6-end games at 6:15 pm / 8:00 pm.

The Mixed Club Championship Final will be an 8-end game played during Club Championships (Apr 10-11).

Saturday Jitney
Individual entry, pick-up game. Arrive by 9:15 am to curl at 9:30 am.
Teams vary depending on who shows up to curl.
6 ends plus skills shootout for weekly prizes.
Most stay for breakfast/brunch and social time following curling.
The first Jitney is October 25, 2025.
