The twin cities of Kitchener and Waterloo are vibrant and friendly communities with a combined population of approximately 300,000. KW is located in southwestern Ontario, approximately 120 km west of Toronto.
The Kitchener-Waterloo community is famously known as the home of Canada’s Oktoberfest that takes place every year during the second week of October.
KW also has a proud history of hosting various sporting events including several prestigious curling championships including the Scott Tournament of Hearts in 1994 and 2003, the Labatt Brier in 1986 and the Uniroyal World Junior’s in 1980. Westmount has played a major role in hosting these events in the twin cities.
Westmount is particularly pleased to be hosting the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship during the club’s 75th anniversary year. Westmount is a private club that is one of Canada’s premier golf facilities, consistently ranking in the top 15 over the last several years. Curling has been a part of Westmount life for over 40 years and its enthusiastic curling members enjoy a wonderful facility.
